DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Dubuque Fighting Saints scored 11 goals in two games over the weekend to help snap a four-game home losing streak.

The Saints opened things up Saturday with a win in their first game back after the holiday break.  Six players had multi-point games in a 6-1 rout of the Bloomington Thunder.  Dylan Gambrell scored twice and Jacob Nehama stopped 36 shots in the win.

The Saints continued to roll Sunday afternoon with a convincing 5-1 win over the Chicago Steel.  They scored three goals in the final period of play, and goaltender Gavin Nieto stopped 24 shots.

The Saints take the ice Wednesday night for a special New Years Eve game in Bloomington.  They then return home for a pair of home games next weekend, hosting rival teams Cedar Rapids and Waterloo.
