Cedar Falls sets public meetings after referendum fails

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -  After learning why Cedar Falls voters turned down a bond referendum vote, the Cedar Falls Community School District will move forward by listening to community members' ideas.

According to a survey conducted by the Cedar Falls School District, Cedar Falls voters rejected a September bond referendum vote because of the cost of the bond, misinformation and how several projects were lumped together. This information was gathered after a series of public meetings and online surveys.

Cedar Falls Community School District will now move forward by getting more community feedback on how to improve learning in the district.

The meetings will be at AEA 267, 3712 Cedar Heights Drive, Cedar Falls in January and February. The public is invited the following dates and times:

Wednesday, January 21, 6 p.m.

Thursday, January 22, 2 p.m.

Thursday, January 22, 6 p.m.

Wednesday, February 18, 6 p.m.

Thursday, February 19, 2 p.m.

Thursday, February 19, 6 p.m.
