Waterloo woman accused of bringing meth into jail

Independence Police say a Waterloo woman brought methamphetamine into a jail.

Police arrested 24-year-old Sarah Brown Sunday. During a traffic stop, police say they found meth, a meth pipe and stolen prescription drugs in Brown's car.

Police believe Brown was driving with meth in her system with her two children in her car. They are testing her for methamphetamines after police say they found meth, a meth pipe and stolen prescription drugs in her car.

She is charged with furnishing controlled substance to inmates, child endangerment , operating while intoxicated/drugged, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, possession of methamphetamines, two counts of theft and possession of paraphernalia.

Brown is in the Buchanan County Jail on $5,000 bond.
