CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - Have a tree that you don't know what to do with now that Christmas is over?

Here are some tips for Cedar Falls residents that need to dispose of their Christmas trees.

Clean trees will be considered as yard waste and may be brought to the transfer station on Mondays for a $0.75 disposal fee.

You may also cut the tree into 4 feet lengths and attach a Cedar Falls Christmas tree tag to a portion of the tree for $1.25.

Place the tree at the curbside and call 273-8629 for a Monday pickup. All plastic bags must be removed.

Clean trees do not have ornaments, tinsel, flocking, or attached tree stands.

Unclean tress will be considered as garbage and may be brought to the transfer station Tuesday through Friday for a $0.75 disposal fee. Unclean trees have flocked limbs or are heavily tinseled.

You may also cut the unclean tree into 4 feet lengths and attach a Cedar Falls Christmas tree tag to a portion of the tree for $1.25 and place at the curbside on your normal garbage day pickup.

Christmas tree tags are available at the following:
    -Fareway - Cedar Falls
    -Hy-Vee - College Square Mall
-Cedar Falls Transfer Station – 15th and State Street
    -Ace Hardware - 18th Street
