WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The Salvation Army received its 7th gold coin of the season Thursday at the Fareway on San Marnan.

The coin continued the theme of "The 12 Days of Christmas," just like the six coins before it.

A note read, “On the 7th Day of Christmas: I give to the Salvation Army to put a smile on the bucket counter's face. Yes, you.”

There is about $320,000 to go until the goal of $727,000 is met. Donations can be put in the Red Kettles through December 24, mailed to or dropped off at The Salvation Army, or processed online. The Salvation Army will continue collecting to meet the goal until January 31st.
