MARSHALLTOWN (KWWL) - The man who died and both officers who shot him have been identified.

Andrew Jay Worsfold, 25, of Marshalltown, was shot and killed by police.

The police officers involved in this incident are Officer Ramon Maxey, 49, and Officer Benjamin Scheevel, 23.

Officer Maxey has served as a police officer in Marshalltown for six years.

Officer Scheevel has served as a police officer in Marshalltown for less than one year.

The suspect in an officer-involved shooting died Wednesday morning in Marshalltown.

Authorities are not releasing the name of the suspect at this time. 

The shooting is under investigation. 

The Marshalltown Police Department has contacted the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. 

Police in Marshalltown are investigating a shooting involving two officers. 

It happened in the area of 2nd Avenue and Linn Street around 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities said two police officers were involved in a shooting with an armed suspect.

The suspect was sent to the hospital for his injuries. The suspect's name and condition is not being released at this time. 

The officers were not hurt in the incident. Authorities said both officers involved with the shooting will be put on administrative leave during the investigation.The Marshalltown Police Department has contacted the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
