CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Waypoint Services, Riverview Center, and Cedar Valley Friends of the Family are honored to provide free and comprehensive services for intimate violence victims in Linn County and the surrounding communities.

They will offer professional support for survivors and their significant others, including 24-hour crisis hotlines; legal, medical, and social service advocacy; one-on-one counseling and support groups; emergency shelter and housing services; professional training; and violence prevention initiatives.


There will also be a Victim Services Forum for area service providers and the general community on Dec. 17, 12 pm – 1 pm, at the Waypoint Services Building, located at 318 5th Street SE, Cedar Rapids.

Cedar Valley Friends of the Family provides emergency shelter and housing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in 14 counties in Northeast Iowa.

 

Riverview Center provides bilingual services to survivors of sexual assault including: 24-hour crisis line, legal and medical advocacy, therapy and peer counseling, professional training, and violence prevention education in 14 counties in Northeast Iowa.

 

Waypoint Services provides services to victims/survivors of domestic violence including: 24-hour crisis and support line, legal and medical advocacy, and support groups (language access services available), as well as services to communities and allied professionals in 7 counties in Northeast Iowa.
