Cyclones defeat Southern 88-78, remain perfect at home

 Iowa State overcame a sluggish start and finish to knock off Southern University 88-78. The win moved the Cyclones to a perfect 6-0 record inside Hilton Coliseum this season.

Southern (2-8) challenged the Cyclones with hot shooting early on, taking a 29-21 lead with 8:16 remaining in the first half.  That's when Iowa State took over, outscoring the x's 45-10 over the next 20 minutes, gaining their largest lead at 66-39 in the second half.

Bryce Dejean-Jones scored 18 points in his action since serving a one game suspension. Georges Niang also added 18 as 5 Cyclones scored in double figures.

Iowa State has won 13 consecutive games at home dating back to last season.
