DUBUQUE COUNTY (KWWL) -

Eight people, including 6 children, were injured after a crash in Dubuque County during foggy conditions Sunday.

The crash happened at Highway 20 and Dutch Lane near Peosta just before 2 p.m.

The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office says a pickup driven by 19-year-old Robert Borley of Dubuque failed to yield at a stop sign, crossed onto Highway 20 and into the path of a westbound vehicle being driven by 33-year-old Trevor Gotto of Farley.

Deputies say a passenger in Borley's pickup, 20-year-old Justin Bell, was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

7 passengers in Gotto's vehicle, 26-year-old Meghan Gotto and children ages 13, 10, 10, 8, 2 and 1 were taken to local hospitals for minor injuries.

Borley has been cited for failing to stop at a stop sign and operating too fast for road conditions.
