IOWA CITY (AP) - Ally Disterhoft scored 16 points to lead No. 24 Iowa to a 76-67 win over rival Iowa State on Thursday night.

Whitney Jennings added 15 points and Kali Peschel 13 on a career-best three 3-pointers for the Hawkeyes (8-2).

Jadda Buckley scored 25 points for the Cyclones (5-2), who made only two field goals in the final 7 1/2 minutes.

Iowa led for almost the entire game, but Iowa State stayed close until the final minute.

Buckley's 3-pointer with 54 seconds left cut Iowa's lead to 71-67.

But the Hawkeyes made 5 of 7 free throws and forced three turnovers to close out the game.

The home team has won 13 of the last 14 meetings in the series.

Iowa's Samantha Logic had seven points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Iowa State's Nikki Moody fouled out with 12 points. Seanna Johnson had six points and 12 rebounds.
