IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Iowa City police claim a man used an internet survey platform to get women to send him risqué pictures.

Sean Boies, 29, was arrested by Iowa City police on Wednesday.

They say that back in January, Boies published an online survey in which he claimed that he was a representative with the women's lingerie store Victoria's Secret.

In the survey, he asked women to send back photos of themselves in a bra and lingerie. The survey said the selected winners of the will be invited to a private Miami photo-shoot.

According to the criminal complaint, those who completed the survey would get a $25 gift card. Boies received pictures from two people who responded.

The criminal complaint also notes that Boies was able to create the survey's using the program Qualtrics, which he logged onto using the password information from two University of Iowa students.

He admitted to the officers that he got their usernames and passwords through an online phishing scheme, and, in total, published many surveys that 6,285 people responded to between December 2013 and May 2014.

He's charged with unauthorized computer access, and two counts of identity theft.

According to Johnson County Jail records, Boies was booked and released early on Thursday morning.
