UNI cracks Top 25, ISU jumps six places

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The University of Northern Iowa Panthers have made their way into the latest AP college basketball poll, while ISU jumped six places in the same poll.

UNI is ranked #23 coming off an overtime win against George Mason University at the McLeod Center. The win moved the Panthers to 8-0 on the season. They travel to Denver and Virginia Commonwealth this week for games on Wednesday and Saturday.

The Iowa State Cyclones who had fallen to #20 in last week's poll, have jumped six spots to #14 this week. Wins against Lamar and Arkansas helped fuel the jump. The Cyclones host the University of Missouri at Kansas City on Tuesday before traveling to Iowa on Friday. They the return to Hilton Coliseum to host Southern on Sunday.
