LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

A Linn County Supervisor is being recognized for her work.

Linda Langston was one of eight inductees in the International Women in Security and Emergency Management Hall of Fame.

A ceremony was held in Texas in November.

Langston has been a Linn County Supervisor since 2003, helping with flood recovery following the floods of 2008.

She is a past president of the National Association of Counties.

While president, Langston created an initiative called "Ready and Resilient Counties," which helps counties prepare for, respond to, and thrive following disasters.
