BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

Two people are in the hospital after a crash in Black Hawk County Thursday morning.

It happened at the intersection of East Cedar Wapsi and Raymond Road.

A Jeep Cherokee and a pick-up collided.

Two women from Waterloo -- 33-year-old Dawn Mitchell and 31-year-old Jessica Pollard -- were taken to the hospital. Deputies say their injuries are not life-threatening.

Investigators say Mitchell was stopped at the stop sign and then went through the intersection before colliding with a truck driven by Randy Pries, 50, of Readlyn.

Deputies say their investigation is continuing and charges are pending, but they did not elaborate.
