CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -  Iowa's second largest city apparently isn't giving up its plan to build a casino.
Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett and two lawmakers scheduled a news conference Tuesday to discuss plans to change the state's casino and gaming laws.
Details will be released later today (Tuesday), but Corbett has previously supported a plan that would allow Cedar Rapids to build the state's first smoke-free casino.
The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission voted 4-1 to reject the plan in April, with members saying they needed to protect existing casinos from potentially crippling new competition.
The commission has recently announced a moratorium after granting Iowa's 19th casino license for a $40 million project in Jefferson.
