NFV's Harris chooses Hawkeyes

WEST UNION (KWWL) -

The Iowa football program received a big commitment on Monday, literally. North Fayette Valley's 6'4", 340 pound sophomore Juan Harris tweeted out his decision, choosing Iowa over Wisconsin, Virginia, Utah, and Tennessee.

Harris decision is non-binding as he can't officially sign a letter of intent until February 2017.

The lineman helped the Tigerhawks to a class 2A state title, but only played in the final two games after moving in to the NFV school district from Janesville, Wisconsin.

Harris is Iowa's first commitment for the class of 2017.
