CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - Bruce Newell of Cedar Falls doesn't sit back and wait for a better world, he helps to create it.

Newell belongs to a group that helps children and adults that don't have hands or arms.

www.enablingthefuture.org is global wide and they create 3-D printed hands and arms for the people needing them.

Newell just sent 2 hands to the John Hopkins Hospital for Hands Across The Border.

They are in need of as many hands as they can get.

The Ziv Medical Center is sending a doctor to help with getting these hands to the children that need them.

"It's a great group of people and all the hands and arms are given to the people in need for FREE, NO CHARGE." Newell explains.

"Please check out the group and I plan on contacting the hospitals and prosthetic people in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area about this group and then also the Waterloo/Cedar Falls schools and see if they would like to join and help out."

Hands Across Borders is assembling the hands and there are cub scouts, boy scouts, girl scouts, and all kinds of people helping in order to make someone's day a little brighter.
