DUBUQUE (KWWL) - On Sunday, Nov. 30th, Dubuque Police responded to the 2000 block of Jackson Street to investigate a report of shots fired at approximately 4:41 a.m.

Police believed that the subjects involved in the shooting ran into 2072 ½ Jackson Street, so they made contact with the residence and identified several subjects.

They were not able to determine if the subjects had any part in the shooting.

However, they did find one subject who was a juvenile that was in possession of several controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. He was charged and released to his mother per Juvenile Court Services.

Police also were able to obtain enough information to apply for a search warrant.

The search warrant was granted and the Dubuque Tac-Team, which was called in due to weapons being involved, served it at approximately 10:40 a.m. They made entry and secured the residence without incident.

Members of the Criminal Investigation Division then served the warrant and began their search.

More information was obtained about weapon violations so the search was stopped and a second warrant was applied for. That search warrant was granted and served.

At this time, no suspect has been charged with any weapons violation, nor has anyone been identified as a shooter.

Police could not determine is anything was damaged or locate any victims. The investigation is on-going at this time.
