DUBUQUE COUNTY (KWWL) -

Dubuque County Sheriff's Department investigators are still trying to determine how a vehicle became stuck on railroad tracks Wednesday morning in Dubuque County.

Officers say Mary Buillion, of Coralville, died Friday night from injuries she sustained after her vehicle was struck by a Canadian National train at about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday along Olde Hawkeye Road in Dubuque County.

Pam Steffensmeier lives along Olde Hawkeye Road. She said GPS devices often lead people right to her families farm.

"We've heard from them GPS told them to come down this way," said Steffensmeier.

Bill Foley walks along Heritage Trail which is also located right off the road almost everyday. He said during his walks along Heritage Trail he'll notice cars drive past the turn for Highway 20 and continue on Olde Hawkeye Road thinking it is the Highway. The road dead ends into Steffensmeier's home.

"I'll notice someone misses the turn onto Highway 20 and they just keep going straight and they have to turn around in the guys driveway up there," said Foley.

Olde Hawkeye Road is located near highway 20. Foley said it's common to see people mistake the road for highway 20. Authorities say it's too early to tell if a GPS lead to the accident on Wednesday morning.
