Cold temperatures for Black Friday shopping

Some stores opened their doors early this morning, but there were a few that opened last night.

It's a calling for all deal-seeking shoppers, Black Friday is here! Early Friday morning, and a handful of shoppers are making their way through the Super Target in Waterloo.

Kimberly Neperue, Exec. Team Leader of guest experience and floor sales, says, "The crowd got really excited. We actually did a crowd wave right before we opened the store. It was a lot of fun."

Target is staying open for 17 straight hours, closing their doors at 11 Friday morning.

Two women who work with the Buchanan County Salvation Army gave up their Thanksgiving dinner and Friday morning to shop for others.

Lori Dietzenbach of Independence says, " We have needy families that we gout and buy for and we have 22 people that we are buying gifts for this year." Julie Johnson of Independence continued, "We don't know who they are, we just have names and ages and their wish list. It's been fun." about the true meaning of holidays.
