Tipton to celebrate Small Business Saturday

Tipton business are preparing to celebrate Small Business Saturday on Nov. 29.

Small Business Saturday is dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country and is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Tipton businesses will offer unique discounts and giveaways as well as putting out Christmas goodies for customers to enjoy. A new promotion this year will also give shoppers the chance to win $100 in Chamber Bucks with a Tipton Shopping Passport. 

For a chance to win, patrons will need to have their passport stamped five times at different participating businesses on Small Business Saturday and drop the completed passport off at one of those locations by Noon on Monday, Dec. 1. Tipton Shopping Passports will be available at participating businesses or can be downloaded from the community calendar.

Special activities have also been planned for the downtown area including a book signing, a bake sale, and the annual "Ca$h for Christmas" promotion sponsored by the Tipton Chamber of Commerce. For more information visit the Tipton community calendar at www.tiptoniowa.org.

Small Business Saturday is a nationwide campaign founded by American Express to bring awareness to shopping local and supporting small business.
