CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - With Black Friday just a few days away, retailers are getting ready to put all that product on their shelves.

We wanted to know where all that extra product is stored.

At the Cedar Falls' Menards, it's all right in one big storage room.

From air hockey tables to sub-woofers, this storage area has everything. Hundreds of palettes are about to make their way onto shelves.

Literally every employee will be working at Menards to get it all ready -- and there's a lot.

"Organized chaos, as much as possible," says manager Stephen Carroll. "Some will be on forklifts, some will be on palette jacks, moving it to departments, getting it out of packaging and getting it signed and displayed for sale."

Employees like Mariah Okonek are getting ready for the madness: "So I work 5:45 a.m. until 3 p.m."

Although she's usually works with deliveries, Okonek will be working the register to keep lines open and moving.

This isn't her first Black Friday rodeo, so she knows how to prepare.

"Grab a coffee on the way to work," Okonek said. "It's going to be a long shift, but put a smile on, make sure everyone's happy."

But she does have one small request for shoppers: Please be patient.

"We're trying our best to make sure everything runs smoothly," she said.
