DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Dubuque Fighting Saints ended a road trip with a 1-1 weekend.

They dropped their first game Friday night in Sioux City, losing 5-2. The Musketeers ended the Fighting Saints' eight-game winning streak behind a goal and an assist from forwards Robert Carpenter, Adam Johnson, Alexandre Payusov and Sam Kurker.

Jacob Nehama, Dubuque's undefeated goalie, was slated to start the game, but was a late scratch due to illness.

It was Dubuque's first loss since Oct. 18.

The Fighting Saints bounced back Saturday night with a 4-1 win over the Sioux Falls Stampede.

They scored just one minute into the game, and never looked back. All four goals came from different players.

Nehama made the start, and recorded 19 saves to improve to a perfect 11-0-0 on the season.

The Fighting Saints return home for a pair of games next week, hosting Muskegon for a game the night before Thanksgiving. The puck drops at 7:35 p.m.
