NEWTON (AP) -

The Iowa State Patrol says two people from Marshalltown have died and a boy has been injured in a one-vehicle crash.

Troopers say 58-year-old Micaela Rodriguez-Pizana was driving a Chevrolet Silverado over the weekend on Highway 65 in Jasper County when she lost control of the vehicle, which rolled into a ditch.

Rodriguez-Pizana and 43-year-old passenger Maria Tiscareno were pronounced dead at the scene. Both were wearing seat belts.

A 16-year-old boy was injured and taken to a Des Moines hospital. His condition is unclear.

Authorities are investigating.
