LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

The on-ramp from southbound Highway 13 to eastbound Highway 30 in Linn County is closed for accident cleanup.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office says a semi truck driven by 50-year-old Leroy Reyes of Harlingen, Texas rolled over on the ramp at around 1:05 p.m.  Deputies say Reyes lost control, sending the truck into the guardrail which caused it to rollover. The vehicle batteries that were in the trailer spilled onto the roadway and leaked battery acid.

Traffic is detouring from Highway 13 to westbound Highway 30 and then to the Old River Road exit where they can then get onto eastbound Highway 30.

Reyes was taken to St. Luke's Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The road will be closed until the cargo and vehicle have been removed.

The accident remains under investigation.
