South Winn remained perfect and punched their tickets to the Class 1A semifinal with a 25-7 win over Dike-New Hartford.
Ryan Hageman opened the scoring with a long drive in the first. Hageman followed up a 34-yard run in to Wolverine territory with a 20-yard touchdown scamper for a quick 6-0 South Winn lead.
The Warriors extended that in the second quarter on a Logan Schweinefus bomb to Jordan Rommes. Rommes ripped the lofted pass away from defensive back Connor Neuroth for a 38-yard touchdown as the Warriors went to halftime with a 14-0 lead.
Both defenses stepped up in the third as nobody found the end zone, but South Winn dominated most of the 4th. Dike-New Hartford's Trent Johnson scored from 15 yards out for the Wolverines only points of the night.
The Warriors, however, capped the night with a 40-yard pick-6 by Schweinefus as they rolled to the UNI-Dome for the first time since 2009.
