Police investigate armed robbery at Cedar Falls' Dollar General

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Dollar General store in Cedar Falls that happened on Election Night.

A Dollar General store employee reported the robbery at around 8:22 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4.

The employee said a man brandishing a firearm from inside of a drawstring bag robbed the store and took money.

According to Cedar Falls Police, the suspect is described a a tall, slender black man wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt, grey sweatpants and white shoes, and carrying a blue drawstring bag that was apparently hiding the gun.

Police also provided surveillance footage to the public.
