Anthony Tronca charged in Waterloo auto shop killing

WATERLOO (KWWL) - Waterloo Police arrested Anthony Tronca for the murder of a man who was shot at Tronca's auto shop business.

43-year-old Tronca is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death which happened in September. 

44-year-old Ronald Dean Randall was reported missing on Sept. 9.  During the investigation it was determined Randall's disappearance was not voluntary, and on Sept. 12, his body was found in rural Black Hawk County south of Washburn.

An autopsy was completed by the State Medical Examiner's Office and Randall's death was ruled a homicide, the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.

As the result of the investigation it was determined that Anthony Albert Tronca shot Ronald Dean Randall multiple times while they were at Tronca's business, AJT Auto at 2014 Black Hawk St. in Waterloo.

Randall's body was then taken to the rural location where it was later found by Waterloo police.

Anthony Tronca has been in the Black Hawk County Jail on unrelated charges since Sept. 16.
