Cedar Falls just didn't have enough as the Tigers fell to top-ranked Cedar Rapids Washington 25-14.
Tavian Patrick provided the fireworks for Wash in the early going.
Patrick scored on a first-quarter sweep for a quick 6-0 edge. Then in the second, he came up with a punt block allowing teammate Jared Thorson to jump on the ball in the end zone as the Warriors opened up a 12-0 lead.
Cedar Falls got themselves on the board in the final seconds of the first half as fullback Ben Fienup busted over the line on a 4th-and-goal play from the one.
In the second half, on a 4th-down play, the Warriors' Reid Snitker hit Landen Akers for a 10-yard touchdown and an 18-7 lead.
But Cedar Falls wouldn't go away. In the 4th quarter, Fienup hauled in an 11-yard touchdown pass from Taylen Alexander to pull within four.
However, the Warriors responded with a scoring drive capped by a 6-yard run from Connor Vincent as the Tigers bowed out in the second round.
