An 87-year-old man is in the hospital after a 3-vehicle crash involving a grain cart. It happened around 5:15 p.m. Saturday on Highway 175, just west of Reinbeck.
The Grundy County Sheriff's Office says the 3 vehicles were headed east.
They say a pickup truck driven by 64-year-old Lou Ann Ehrig of Grundy Center slowed for the grain cart, driven by 16-year-old Spencer Goos of Gladbrook.
That's when a car driven by 87-year-old Edgar Henricks of Reinbeck ran into the back of that truck, which then hit the back of the grain cart.
Henricks was airlifted to a Waterloo hospital.
His condition has not been released.
Goos and Ehrig were not injured.
