Dubuque Co. Sheriff investigating reports of burglaries

DUBUQUE COUNTY (KWWL) -

Update:  The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office is investigating several reports of burglaries. The burglaries have happened throughout the past several weeks in the Olde Davenport Road and Schueller Heights Road area.

Kim Kramer said she just a couple of weeks ago she had someone sneak into her garage and steal some of her husband's hunting equipment. She said surrounding neighbors have also been hit.

Authorities say suspects entered unlocked vehicles and homes and have stolen cash, electronics, and hunting equipment.In one of the reports, a white male entered a home, and was driving a light colored vehicle similar to a Ford Taurus.

Kramer said neighbors in the neighborhood have a strong support system and she said they're keeping an eye out for one another during this recent string of burglaries . She also said these burglaries serve as a reminder to others to always make sure your home and vehicle are locked.

The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office recommends you lock your car and home. Call authorities if you have any additional information or see any suspicious activity.
