PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (KWWL) -

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus community established the Pioneer Relief fund after the June 16 E-F2 tornado damaged multiple university buildings and memorial park, as well as Ralph E. David Pioneer Stadium and homes around the Platteville area.

The fund helps provide financial support to students as well as displaced faculty and staff affected by the tornado by supplying food, water, temporary housing, clothing and more.

To date, the Pioneer Relief Fund has raised more than $84,000 to help support those students and displaced faculty.

Those students, staff and faculty who needed assistance from the fund were asked to complete a request form stating what type of assistance they were in need of, the hardships being faced due to the tornado and an approximate requested dollar amount. This can be submitted online at uwplatt.edu/pioneer-relief-fund-request-form, according to a press release.
