RAYMOND (KWWL) -

A blown-out tire is being blamed for a crash that injured three adults near the U.S. Hwy. 20 and I-380 interchange, near Raymond.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says 48-year-old Trudy Williams of Waterloo was headed south when a tire blew out on her Buick Rendezvous.

Deputies say the SUV hit a guard rail, went into the ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its wheels.

Williams along with her two passengers, 38-year-old Damond Williams of Waterloo and 24-year-old Lediamonisha Jackson of Cedar Rapids, were taken to Covenant Medical Center.

Damond Williams and Jackson were treated and released.

Jackson, who was in the back seat of the vehicle, was trapped for a short time after the crash. She remained at Covenant for non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
