4 men accused of attacking 2 Charles City men arrested

On October 12 at 1:42 a.m. a Charles City man was physically attacked by 5 or 6 people north of 13th Ave on Triumph Ave in Floyd County.

While police were interviewing the victim he said he had been physically attacked by 5 or 6 adult male subjects earlier in the night.

It was also discovered there was another male at the scene who had been attacked by 5 or 6 adult males.

Deputies learned that there were numerous witnesses present when the assaults took place subsequently leading to an investigation with numerous interviews being conducted.

On Oct. 29 four individuals were arrested on warrants for two counts of willful injury causing serious injury class "C" felonies with a bond of $20,000 for each individual.

The subjects are: Jeffrey Thomas Stoddard, age 25 of Charles City, Tyler Robert Tonelli, age 21 of Charles City, Brett Ryan Carlson, age 25 of New Hampton, and Cody Lee Cordes, age 26 of New Hampton.

Dakota Gene Gillespie, age 19 of Charles City is currently wanted for two counts of willful injury causing serious injury class "C" felonies for his involvement.

The Sheriff's office also filed charges on Steven Elliott Zastrow, age 24 of Charles City for failure to register on the sex offender registry.
