Branstad, Reynolds continue to tour eastern Iowa

MARION (KWWL) -

Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds have been going across the state for their Building Iowa's Future Tour.

Tuesday, they stopped in Marion.

Branstad is running for an unprecedented sixth term as governor. Tuesday, he pushed what's he done and said he wants to continue helping Iowa grow.

"I love Iowa and I'm proud of the record we've established, but we're not done yet,  said Branstad. "We want to build a very bright future for this great state."

Branstad also put his support behind the many other Republicans on the ballot, calling this the strongest Republican ticket he's ever seen.

"Frankly, this country cannot afford to keep going in the direction we are," said Branstad. "We have no leadership in foreign policy, and I think people are ready for a new direction."
