DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

A Dubuque woman faces criminal charges after police said she was driving drunk with four children in her car and crashed a stolen vehicle into a parked car.

According to the Dubuque Telegraph Herald, Marrita Dye, 32, was arrested at 5:41 a.m. Friday on charges of operating a vehicle without owners consent, driving while barred, child endangerment and operating while intoxicated.

She also was cited with failure to maintain control. She made an initial court appearance today.

Diamond Wilson, 18, of Maquoketa told officers Dye had stopped at 2710 Jackson St. and asked Wilson for a ride.

Wilson told officers she refused, and that's when Dye took her vehicle.

According to the complaint, Dye also told officers she had been drinking before the crash.

Her passengers were two 15-year-olds, a 14-year-old and a 12-year-old.
