DENVER, Colo. (KWWL) -

Peyton Manning made history Sunday night.

Twenty-seven minutes in to the Broncos match-up with San Francisco, Manning hit Demaryius Thomas on an 8 yard touchdown pass marking the 509th scoring strike of his career. The touchdown set a new all-time record, pushing the Bronco signal caller past Brett Favre on the all-time list.

Manning entered the night needing 3 touchdown passes to set the record. He connected with Emmanuel Sanders and Wes Welker for scores in the first quarter.

Manning is in his 17th season in the NFL. He spent the first 14 with the Indianapolis Colts, but did not play the 2011 season due to a neck injury.
