City to host community planning for future projects

Posted: Updated:

An open house will be held for residents in Iowa City to help city leaders plan for future development in the city.

Iowa City's Department of Neighborhood and Development Services is hosting a community planning open house aimed at the Civic District and the North Clinton/Dubuque Street District projects.

The city is asking the public attend and identify any issues they should consider in planning documents for those areas.

The open house will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30 in Emma Harvat Hall, Iowa City City Hall, 410 E. Washington Street.

They are asking all community members including residents, business owners, property owners, and public service agencies to share their ideas as city staff consider the future of these areas of Iowa City.

Community members are also encouraged to provide input via a survey that can be found at www.icgov.org/planupdate.
