NEW HAMPTON (KWWL) -

In a huge 2A District 3 game between 7th-ranked New Hampton and Dyersville Beckman, Beckman entered the night with a 3-1 district record, while New Hampton was 4-0.

It would be a defensive struggle on a very windy night.

Noah Eichenberger would be in on two sacks of Beckman QB Connor Klostermann -- the first for a loss of 6, and the second a loss of 7.

New Hampton would come close to scoring early on. But Tucker Tenge could not hold on to Alex Troyna's pass in the end zone.

Turnovers would hurt the Chickasaws. On New Hampton's first possession, Anthony Swietzer could not hold on to the hand-off. Bret Kluesner would come up with it for the Blazers.

Then late in the second quarter, Sam Stelken would pick off Troyna's pass.

On the next play, Connor Klostermann decided to go for it all. He throws deep and hit Carter Boekholder in stride for the 50-yard score. They would go into halftime with a 7-0 lead.

Dyersville Beckman comes up with the big upset. They win 20-0 over New Hampton.
