WATERLOO (KWWL) - Waterloo Police have released the name of the suspect now in custody after a payday loan store was held up.

Police say it happened around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hometown Cash Advance on University Avenue.

Authorities say 26-year-old Stevie Harrington allegedly walked into the business armed with a handgun, demanded money and then ran from the scene.

About five minutes later, officers arrested Harrington near Coachman Drive.

Harrington is currently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail. He is charged with first-degree robbery and possession of weapons as a felon.
