DAVENPORT (KWWL) - Democrat Bruce Braley and Republican Joni Ernst face off in their second of three debates Saturday night from 7-8 p.m. The debate will be televised on KWWL.

The two candidates vying for the U.S. Senate seat will debate at St. Ambrose University in Davenport.

Tickets for the event are sold out; all 850 seats in the audience are scheduled to be filled.

Political analysts are calling the senate race extremely close, as Braley and Ernst have carried a neck-and-neck race for much of this campaign season.

The debate begins at 7 p.m. on KWWL.

Two more debates will air on KWWL next week. Candidates for Iowa governor, Republican Terry Branstad and Democrat Jack Hatch, will debate Tuesday night, Oct. 14 in Sioux City.

The first congressional debate with Democrat Pat Murphy and Republican Rod Blum will take place Saturday, Oct. 18, live from the KWWL studios.

All debates begin at 7 p.m.
