Linn-Mar Lions take down Cedar Falls Tigers, 22-14

Posted: Updated:

Ninth-ranked Cedar Falls visited 10th-ranked Linn-Mar in a match-up of unbeaten teams in District 5.

On the opening drive, Linn-Mar's Perrion Scott gets a nice hole from his linemen. He jukes a defender and is brought down at the 6-yard line.

But a few plays later, on 4th-and-2, Scott gets stuffed by Tiger linebacker Adrian Diaz, much to the delight of the Tiger student body.

Next series, on 4th down, the Lions settle for the 33-yard field goal, compliments of kicker Alexy Boehm, for the 3-0 lead.

Less than two minutes to go in the half, quarterback Taylen Alexander finds Javon Middelton for the first down -- and he loses his hat in the process. But it would all be for naught as the drive stalled.

Linn-Mar would go on to win 22-14.
