UPDATE: man dies following Dubuque crash

Update

A man involved in a head-on collision in Dubuque died on Tuesday.

Lieutenant Scott Baxter says Delbert C. Keuter, 80, of Dubuque, was taken to Mercy Hospital were he died. An autopsy will be performed by the State Medical Examiner in an effort to determine cause of death and whether or not said cause contributed to the crash.

Baxter says on Tuesday at approximately 8:38 a.m., Dubuque Police and Fire personnel responded to the 2300 block of Rockdale Road on the report of a two vehicle collision with injuries. The investigation determined a Chrysler Sebring operated by Delbert C. Keuter, 80, of Dubuque, crossed the center line and collided with a GMC Suburban operated by Tammy K. Donath, 52, of Dubuque.

Donath, 52, was transported to Finley Hospital where she was treated and later released.

Two people were hospitalized after a crash in Dubuque on Tuesday.

Lieutenant Scott Baxter says officers were called to the 2300 block of Rockdale Road at around 8:38 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Baxter says a man driving a car crossed the center line and collided with an SUV.

The woman in the SUV was taken to Finley Hospital and is expected to recover. The man in the car was taken to Mercy Hospital and is said to be in critical condition.

No charges have been filed. The names of the drivers are being withheld until family is notified.
