Cedar Rapids Titans re-sign two wide receivers

The Cedar Rapids Titans announced the re-signing of two wide receivers on Monday.

Coach Mark Stoute announced that wide receivers Willie Carter and J.J. Hayes will be returning to Cedar Rapids for the 2015 Indoor Football League season.

Hayes, a 6'3, 210 pound wideout, played in 13 regular season games in 2014. He hauled in 39 receptions for 451 yards and 10 touchdowns. He added 350 yards and two touchdowns on special teams. 2014 will be his second season with the Titans, third in the IFL.

Carter, a Howard University alum, played in seven regular season games. He tallied 10 receptions for 106 yards and four touchdowns. He also spent time with the Jacksonville Sharks of the Arena Football League in 2014 before joining the Titans.

The Titans also signed Regginald Lewis Jr, a 6'1, 193 pound wide receiver out of Valdosta State, Kenneth Ridley, a 5'10 190 pound defensive back from Morgan State and Dominique Wheeler, a 5'9, 178 pound defensive back from Valdosta State. Wheeler spent Rookie Mini Camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
