Another sexual assault reported at U. of Iowa

Posted: Updated:
IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Another student at the University of Iowa says she was sexually assaulted.

The University sent out a Crime Alert Friday, which says the assault happened on Friday, September 26 in a residence hall. The University says the student reported the assault on September 30.

This is the sixth reported sexual assault since students moved in for fall semester. Four of the assaults happened in residence halls, one in an "on-campus residence" and the other reported being inappropriately touched at Kinnick Stadium during a football game.

In recent months, the university has made several changes to help prevent sexual assault. They've added an extra night ride bus for women and formed a student advisory group, which helped draft these changes. There's also extra resources for assault survivors.

Those changes came after several students spoke out against the number of assaults happening on campus.
