DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Organizers of the Tri-State Emergency Responders Conference are hosting a fundraising event and inviting the public to attend.

On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17 and 18, emergency responders from all over the tri-state area will gather at the Grand River Center in the Port of Dubuque for continuing education on safety and tactics and to network with fellow responders.

Presenters include national experts in the fire and emergency medical service industries.

Money collected at a fundraising concert that Friday night will go toward Dubuque County's Emergency Responders Facility, which helps train members of law enforcement, volunteer fire departments and EMS year-round.

The concert starts at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Mississippi Moon Bar in Dubuque's Diamond Jo Casino. It features the band The Swing Crew.

The show is open to the public. Admission is free with donations accepted at the door.

All the money will go directly to the Emergency Responders Training Facility in Dubuque County.
