Few snowflakes might hit northeast Iowa Friday night

Posted: Updated:

Snowflakes could hit parts of northeast Iowa on Friday.

It's all due to a low-pressure system that will track through the region over the next few days.

It will be windy and much colder, along with some showers that will track through the area.

Highs will only be a few degrees higher than the morning lows for Friday.

We will drop into the low- to mid-30s Friday night and, with a few showers tracking through, we may have a few snowflakes in our northernmost counties late Friday night.

Most won't see anything and nothing will stick.

Highs will climb back to the low 60s by early next week.
