DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty (CROP) is holding its annual fundraising walk this weekend in Dubuque.

The event will start at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 1755 Delhi Street.

Money raised at the walk will help end hunger locally and globally, with one-third of the funds staying in the community to support the Dubuque Rescue Mission, Dubuque Food Pantry and People in Need. Last year's walk raised nearly $19,000.

The walk is an effort between more than 20 local faith communities, non-profit organizations and businesses.
