Hawks to play two quarterbacks

Posted: Updated:
The Iowa Hawkeyes are in a bye week, but they have revealed a solution to their quarterback question. The Hawkeyes will play both C.J. Beathard and Jake Rudock when they return to the field for homecoming against Indiana at Kinnick Stadium on October 11th.

In a bye week press conference Iowa offensive coordinator Greg Davis said both Rudock and Beathard deserve a chance to play.

"If we played today Jake is about 80 percent and CJ would play today--but we aren't playing today we are playing in about 11 days--we feel like we have two quarterback and we will look at it over the next eleven days and what you can expect is that we will play two." Davis says Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz will have the ultimate word on which player will start.
