CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

A Cedar Falls man faces multiple charges after he allegedly broke into the Cedar Falls Fire Department and fell asleep.

Cedar Falls Police were called to the Cedar Falls Fire Department building on Main Street at 1:53 a.m. Sunday.

Police say two rocks had been thrown through a glass door and a window, and 24-year-old Zachary Carstensen was found sleeping on the floor.

Capt. Craig Berte says Carstensen's blood alcohol level was tested at 0.207.

Carstensen faces charges for public intoxication, second-degree criminal mischief and trespassing.

The initial police report estimated the property damage at $1,650. That estimate includes the value of broken glass door, a window and a plastic hose reel.
